Great idea! I wish I had a mom that would appreciate something like this. I think mine really likes her chocolates, flowers, and jewelry though. Maybe I'll do this for my "other mother" -- she'd probably dig it.

Thanks for sharing this. :)

That's a great gift idea. I knew organizations for "adopting" a star (or something like that) and other types of naming gifts, but I had no idea this one existed. Your mom is going to love that!

Let's see... I already give my mom plushies on random days, and an old teacher of mine gave her a gift where a church prays for her all the time... I think this would be a fun combination of the two. I'll talk it over with my sisters and see if they had anything planned, too. Thanks for the suggestion, Jay. ^^

what a cool idea!

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cute Animal plush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*glomps snowleopard plush & octopus plush & & &*

er. *looks shifty* neat. I will pass it around. However its way out of date for Mothers Day as, in the UK, it was 18th March.

Sigh. 40 years old and I probably have more plush toys than most small children I know (probably because I don't chew on them.... much).

I send my Mom a gift from Heifer International. Because of my work in Africa, she finds it meaningful. of course, somehow flowers always show up as well, I mean, who doesn't like a bouquet of flowers?

In addition, if you can, take your mom out for a trip if you can....My new friend is taking Mom to Graceland this year. SHe's so excited to spend the time with her son....

Hey, would you email MY kids for me? This is the best idea EVAR! :)

Ahhh, Heifer International, Kb, that's the one I always request that my kids donate to! :)

Okay, this might be very petty, but I was looking at the available adoptions and thought "Cool! A greenwing macaw!" My mom has a real live one, so I was thinking this would be perfect. When I clicked on it, however, the species adoption certificate says scarlet macaw. They're two different species.

Greenwings (Ara Choloptera) here and Scarlets (Ara Macao) here.

Am I the only one who thinks the WWF should know this?

Colour me disappointed.
